Climbing at Alabama Hills (2008.11.05)

Had a great weekend of learning to rope climb. Not a big gear person, but the gear does allow you to "safely" climb high which was fun. By the end of the weekend I was leading the sport climbs and even did a lead that no one else was willing to do, a 5.9 on Nutty Buddy...all that bouldering does pay off. I still have a hard time letting go though at the top and being lowered down on the belay...its just doesn't feel right.
