Christmass 2006 = Death Valley (2006.12.30)

Some people gather with family around christmas, my family has decided new years day is a much better time to do that....hangover and all I guess. Instead of hanging around with family Arshi and I went down to San Simeon (Hearst Castle) and then across the state through the Mojave and into the heart of Death Valley.

In the air christmas morning, the sent of the world's oldest known living organisms - creosote brush (some clonal bushes are believed to be about 13,000 years old). The even spaced bushes stretch out to the horizon...fuck wish I would have got a shot of that, below is just a small sampling of what was out there besides the creosote:
